Star Ramblings from March 5th Meeting

I believe that I might have solved the problem I was having with getting onto the website to update and post new blogs. The last two days I've gotten on the right one, as I have been updating the entire site since we have a new Worthy Matron and are beginning a new year. After reading the blog, click on the Officers and Committees pages to see our new officers.

Those that are in need of our prayers, phone calls, and cards are: Sister Joann Green, PGM; Sister Eva Dick, PM; and Brother Tony Martin, PP. Sister Eva Dick has moved to Georgia; however, she has the same phone number.

You can receive information about what is going on in the Chapter and the District not only by looking at the Meetings/Events page in this website, but on an app for your phone called Team Reach. You have to download the app onto your phone and then open it and put the code for the ones you want join. The code for Belleview 122 is Bell122. The code for our district is OESD11. If you want to join any of the other chapter's groups, email me and I will give you, their code. My email is nbrandlein@brighthouse.com.

Kim Fiscus, Worthy Matron, is going to continue our community project of giving snacks to our first responders. We will be collecting those snacks at our March 19th meeting. Please remember to bring them in. We will be delivering them one day next week.

Kim's first fundraiser will be a Spring Fling on April 27th at 5pm at the Scottish Rite of Ocala. It is a Spaghetti dinner and a dance. There will be a live band. Dress for the evening is casual. Tickets are $25 per person. If you are interested in attending, see Nancy Brandlein or one of the officers to get your tickets. Let's all come out and make this fundraiser a success. The spaghetti sauce will be homemade. The band will be playing a variety of music from the 60, 70, 80, and country. Even if you don't dance come on out and enjoy the music, food, and fellowship. Let's help make this function a success. The money will be used for some of the community projects which will be announced later.

Our next meeting will be March 19th with dinner at 6:30 for a donation of $5. Dinner committee for the evening Donna C., Deborah, Kathy, and Bill. We will be setting up chapter on Sunday, March 17th at 3 pm. We will be holding a Dusty Rose at that time as well. After we are finished, we will have a Dutch treat dinner somewhere. If you have a new office and want to practice your part in front of member, Dusty Rose is the time to do it.

Ocala 29 is having their Open Installation at 4 pm on Saturday. There will be a dinner at 3 pm and refreshments after the installation.
